It aims at promoting the most recent technologies in genome editing and advise companies wishing to start a new activity in this very competitive field of research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Guy-Franck Richard<\/strong> is a molecular geneticist with more than 25 years of experience in genome editing. He has a PhD in molecular genetics, as well as an <em>Habilitation \u00e0 Diriger des Recherches<\/em>.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">He has been working at the <strong>Institut Pasteur<\/strong> for 25 years, as well as in <strong>Brandeis University<\/strong> (Waltham, USA) and <strong>Johns Hopkins University<\/strong> (Baltimore, USA).<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">He works with bacteria, yeasts (<em>Saccharomyces cerevisiae<\/em> and <em>Candida glabrata<\/em>), as well as mouse and human cells.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Guy-Franck Richard<\/strong> uses <strong>meganucleases<\/strong>, <strong>TALE nucleases (TALEN)<\/strong> and several nucleases of the <strong>CRISPR-Cas<\/strong> family to precisely edit and modify genomes with high efficacy and specificity.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Guy-Franck Richard<\/strong> uses deep sequencing (<strong>Illumina<\/strong>) as well as long-read sequencing (<strong>PacBio<\/strong>, <strong>ONT<\/strong>) to detect possible off-target mutations after editing, to ensure limited undesired modifications.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<p
